Het nieuwste van het nieuwste: tea tags. Je kent ze wel, die papiertjes die aan je theezakje vastzitten en waarop het smaakje en/of het merk van de thee te lezen is. Heel handig, want zonder die kleine dingetjes moet je het touwtje vasthouden. Ik heb deze tea tags zoals ik ze genoemd heb (en misschien heten ze ook wel echt zo), gebruikt voor een kit met maar liefst 27 verschillende tea tags - original blend. In deze eerste kit (vol. 1) zitten ze met tekst en zonder tekst door elkaar. Vanaf vanmiddag te koop bij SBG in Studio Berna.

Most of the time they are used to present the trade mark and/or the taste or blend of the tea. I used these tea tags (don't know if this is their real name, LOL) for a really special kit. Great for any layout, because I have made them with and without texts for every occasion. Oranje actie over/Soccer match is over

Oké, het was leuk voor zolang het duurde. Vandaag heb ik, als de tijd me meezit voor jullie de prijzen van mijn oranje producten nog niet veranderd. Dat kost namelijk tijd. En die heb ik nog even niet. Dus:

Nieuwe dingen/new things

Ik zie dat ik de laatste tijd wel ERG vergeetachtig ben, zeg! Heb ik een heel leuke KitschGardenUnlimited kit gemaakt genaamd 'Taped!', vergeet ik hem hier alweer te presenteren. Het zal de tijdgebrek zijn. Nou, bij deze alsnog de 'Taped!' en eerst ook maar even de nieuwste, een heus Basic Grey album in KitschGardenUnlimited stijl. Ik vond dit erg leuk om te ontwerpen, beide, dus van deze dingen zal zeker nog meer volgen...

Vergeten.../ I forgot...

In het verleden deed ik nogal eens mee aan het ophemelen van eigen spullen. Niet zo verwonderlijk, want ik moet toch proberen een beetje mee te komen op de Amerikaanse en Canadese markt. En vooral Amerikaanse dames zie ik vaak erg lovende woorden over eigen producten uitstorten. Ik stoor me daar zelf niet echt aan hoor, maar heb er wel moeite mee zulke dingen over mijn eigen spullen vast te stellen. Natuurlijk, het is ook moeilijk: We moeten nu eenmaal onze eigen waren aanprijzen en doe je het niet, dat houdt je de kop natuurlijk wel domweg onder het maaiveld en dat willen we eerlijk gezegd ook niet, want ons werk moet natuurlijk wel opgemerkt worden.

Nu mijn werk eindelijk een beetje bekender is geworden, wil ik eigenlijk het liefst doorgaan met meer dingen maken zoals ik die leuk vind. Helaas, je ontkomt er niet aan: je moet dus weer reclame maken. Nou was ik het van de week een beetje beu en daardoor ben ik ineens vergeten mijn spullen op m'n eigen blog te zetten. Dom, dom, natuurlijk, maar hier zijn ze dan. Mag ik mijn hoop uitspreken dat jullie deze spulletjes leuk vinden? Verkrijgbaar in mijn Studio @ ScrapbookGraphics: Hier

(Eng.): I always have a little trouble praising my own stuff. In the past I did that though with many mixed feelings, seeing that everybody seemed to do so. Of course, my own designs are a little bit like my own children: I love them as the designer and I will cherish them, wanting to show them to the rest of the world. But praising words like 'gorgeous' and 'beautiful'... It's hard to tell that from my own stuff. I prefer to let the customer decide whether or not they like my stuff. So here it is and I can only hope you like it! TYFL!

Terug/back!

Heerlijk om weer terug te zijn. Alhoewel Zweden me echt goed bevallen is hoor, maar de volgende keer moet ik echt ee n laptop mee, want met de mate van verslaving is het echt afkicken om alles zonder te doen. Wat kun je de komende tijd van mij verwachten? Ik ben al bezig met een aantal nieuwe dingetjes, maar het is nog net effe te vroeg om het te laten zien. Van de week zal het echter wel op mijn site staan, want ik kan het toch niet laten. Wat ik ook heb is veel achterstallig onderhoud hier. De planten (lees: onkruid) zijn tot recordhoogte gegroeid en mijn vijver zit te vol met groen eendekroos. De hal ligt nog vol met wasgoed en ik heb met mezelf afgesproken dat ik toch minstens vier keer per week naar de sportschool moet. Teveel aangekomen, zucht. Nu zag ik gisteren weer dat ik het helemaal niet goed schijn te doen, want drink teveel water en het slaat nergens op. Dus moet ik nu daar weer van afkicken. En ik was al zo blij dat ik niet meer rookte!

Zitten we ook nog met Hello... Iedereen lijkt nu over te stappen naar Groober, maar ik zie het niet zo zitten: heb vanmorgen al zo'n twintig keer geprobeerd om lid te worden, maar waarschijnlijk is hun hele net al overbelast, want ik kom niet eens aan de registratie toe...

(Eng.): Great to be back again. Though Sweden is a lovely country, I wouldn't do my next trip to it without a laptop. Certainly missed that! It's a little too early to show, but I am absolutely busy with another collection. It will be on my blog and in the shop this or next week I guess. Maybe next week to plan is better, bc I have lots of unfinished issues in the house, like washing and trimming the record high wild weeds in the garden. I wish I had a plastic Kitsch Garden hahaha!

And then there is this big 'Hello' problem... I wish I had an answer to it. Now that everybody is going to another messenger and there seems to be a rush on Groober, I don't know how to communicate, haha. I guess I will show things on sites again and in emails if it's private. That Groober is already overloaded, so I dont'even bother anymore (I tried long enough)

Blanco - the unwhites

Met 'Blanco' is een wens van mij om een goede collectie basisachtergronden in lichte nuances te creëren toch een beetje in vervulling gegaan. Het mooie is dat ik het al meteen ben gaan gebruiken voor wat eigen layouts en ik moet zeggen, het is echt heel handig om erbij te hebben. Deze witte, beige en grijze tinten zijn eventueel ook nog makkelijk te recoloreren! Wat mij betreft: als ik even tijd heb wil ik proberen wat van deze kit te combineren met de Patio papers. Lijkt me heerlijk!

Onderwaterwereld/ Underwater world

Ik denk ergens toch dat ik in een soort 'flow' zit. Zeg je dat zo? Geen flow idee. Maar het ontwerpen gaat zo lekker de laatste tijd... Mijn nieuwste stijlen Ocean Reef, Driftwood en Patio tiles heb ik allemaal onder gebracht bij het 'KitschGardenUnlimited' label. Het is heel gek, maar sinds ik met dat totaal fictieve label ben gekomen weet ik pas echt goed wat ik wil. Nu nog een paar brushes in deze stijl die toch weer helemaal afwijken van de brushes in het vorige onderwerp en dan vind ik het wel weer helemaal leuk denk ik.

I'm in a sort of 'flow' nowadays. Meaning everything I want to make succeeds the way I want it. My newest styles, Ocean Reef, Driftwood and Patio Tiles are all under the 'KitschGardenUnlimited' label. Very funny that once you think about a name, the restseems to fit in fluently. I have so much inspiration now!

Eye Love You 5x7 vol. 3 + 4

Zoals je het nu ziet, is het eigenlijke proces geweest van ontwerpen van deze twee nieuwe kits. Eerst maakte ik vol. 4 in de veronderstelling dat ik vol. 3 allang had gemaakt. Blijk ik daar, vorig jaar ergens, wel aan begonnen te zijn, maar dit nooit te hebben afgemaakt. Dus haastte ik mij de nummer 3 vlak na de nummer 4 te doen. Ach, altijd leuk, zo'n photo overlay voor je foto's toch?

Tijdelijk kosten deze 5x7"-kitjes geen $2,50, maar $1,50 per stuk. Haast je, want deze aanbieding geldt alleen tot en met 6 april 2008!

Nadat ik de SHE quickpages ontwierp, bedacht ik dat er weleens veel gevraagd zou kunnen worden naar ook wat HE pages. Wat dus weer helemaal niet zo was. Hahaha, hoezo mensenkennis, mooi niet. Ach, toch heb ik ze maar in de studio gezet. Want ze worden vast leuk gevonden. Niet door jou, dan misschien toch door een ander!
