Eye Love You grunge overlays vol. 3

Altijd krijg ik vragen om nog meer overlays. En natuurlijk wil ik die graag voor jullie maken. Want het is echt verschrikkelijk leuk om ze te maken. En spannend: want hoe zou zo'n overlay zich houden over bepaalde foto's heen? Met deze grunge overlays kun je weer alle kanten uit. Hier een aantal voorbeelden met zoon Noah (wat wordt ie toch groot he? - alweer tien hoor!), Maar ik weet zeker dat ze ook leuk zijn over landschappen, babies, meisjes, een fruitschaal, om maar wat te noemen. Ik ga 't proberen! Binnenkort meer...

Al maanden van tevoren spraken we erover. We zouden toch eigenlijk eens een keertje samen wat moeten maken. Natuurlijk, dat doen we al weleens in groter verband bij Digitaalscrappen.nl, maar nooit eerder een kit alleen met z'n tweeën. Maar eindelijk is het dan zover: 'Chasing Leaves' is een feit!

De collectie bestaat uit een paper pack met maar liefst 16 achtergrondjes, een element pack met een heleboel leuke, gekke, gezellige, vrolijke en handig van pas komende items, en een luggage label kit op de maten van het kartonnen luggage label boekje van BasicGrey.

De collectie zal te koop zijn bij ScrapbookGraphics deze keer. En voor de gelegenheid hebben we een tijdelijke freebie gemaakt die op beide blogs op te halen zijn. Wees er dus vlug bij en kijk ook gauw op de site van IKscrap.

(Eng.): We talked about this for months: it must be great to do a collab together. Of course, we did things together before at Digitaalscrappen.nl, but never before as a duo.

Ik ben er al een hele poos achter de schermen mee bezig, maar nu is het dan zover: ik heb mijn eigen T-shirt shop op internet! Natuurlijk, het is nog maar een pril beginnetje en ik ben nog veel meer artikelen en prints van plan. Maar goed, ik heb gehoord dat het een leuke site is met nog veel en veel meer spullen en een groot bezoekersaantal. We zullen zien. Voorlopig dan hier maar de link:

The Breakfast Club - CHALLENGE!!!!

Ooit was The Breakfast Club een van mijn favoriete films ('85 - John Hughes). Sinds ik kinderen heb, probeer ik er goede gewoonte van te maken altijd samen met de kinderen te ontbijten. Een goed ontbijt is volgens mij nog steeds een van de beste dingen die je je kinderen kunt geven. Ik zie om me heen nog weleens dat die belangrijkheid flink wordt onderschat door dat vader en of moeder geen zin of tijd hebben of het er gewoon elke keer bij inschiet. Hoe erg/ernstig allerlei wereldproblemen ook kunnen zijn, ik steun graag het idee dat ieder kind tenminste recht heeft op een goed ontbijt. Zo kunnen ze niet alleen tot betere prestaties komen, maar hebben ze gewoon ook een perfecte basis om de dag door te komen.

Ik heb nu een challenge op het forum van ScrapbookGraphics gezet om nog meer aandacht voor het ontbijt te krijgen. De opdracht is simpel: maak een layout die met dit onderwerp (ontbijt, ontbijten, de Breakfast Club) te maken heeft. Elke inzending met een link krijgt van mij een digitale verrassing toegestuurd. De inzendtermijn sluit op 31 augustus.

(Eng.): Once I was fan of this John Hughes movie ('85). Now I have (for the first time) a challenge on the challenge forum of SBG. I can easily tell you why: I choose for this theme because I want to get some attention for breakfast. Nowadays so many children go to school on an empty stomach. I think eating breakfast together with your children is very important. However, there are many children who do not know it's a good habit to eat breakfast. Their parent(s) don't have the time, don't like to eat in the morning, or simply forget. They don't realize that this first meal of the day make all the difference: it makes your children can better concentrate, feel better, and achieve more/better. That breakfast doesn't have to be extended, but believe me, it a very good idea to eat in the morning.

Retro Veranda

Mijn nieuwe collectie bij SBG is uit! De naam Retro Veranda heb ik bedacht nadat ik alle 36 achtergrondjes aan elkaar had gemaakt als een gezellige gekleurde plaid. Zo eentje die ik over mijn knieën zou willen hebben terwijl ik zittend in mijn schommelstoel op mijn veranda (die ik helemaal niet heb) zou zitten. Het retro zit 'm in de motieven en motiefjes die mij sterk doen denken aan wat ik zelf op stoffen (kleding en interieur) zag toen ik kind was (zeventiger jaren).
Voor het eerst heb ik in deze collectie ook een 'value pack' opgenomen. Hierin zitten niet alleen alle 36 papers en de quilt/patchwork achtergrond, maar ook alle elementen (met quickpages) en een uitgebreid alfabet in zwart/wit met beige randjes. Het alfabet heeft raster motieven die doen denken aan kranten- en tijdschriftenfoto's.

I thought of the name of this new collection while making a 37th background out of the 36 others that are in the 4 different paper packs of this Retro Veranda kit. I wanted to make a quilted plaid background, and when I saw it I immediately thought about a plaid like I would put on my lap sitting in a rocking-chair on my veranda (if I had one, LOL) 'Retro' are the seventies patterns that I used. These patterns and motifs are like I saw them when i was a kid on clothes as well as in interiors.

Framed!

Ik heb me weer eens lekker ouderwets kunnen uitleven. Wat is het toch heerlijk om designer te zijn. Alleen gun ik me nauwelijks tijd voor vakantie, maar ja, ik ben ook al heel wat weggeweest dit jaar. Affijn, nieuwe kit. Hotspot trend watch - trend watchers attention!

Het nieuwste van het nieuwste: tea tags. Je kent ze wel, die papiertjes die aan je theezakje vastzitten en waarop het smaakje en/of het merk van de thee te lezen is. Heel handig, want zonder die kleine dingetjes moet je het touwtje vasthouden. Ik heb deze tea tags zoals ik ze genoemd heb (en misschien heten ze ook wel echt zo), gebruikt voor een kit met maar liefst 27 verschillende tea tags - original blend. Soms doe ik gewoon eens even lekker waar ik zin in heb en gelukkig loopt dat in de meeste gevallen goed af. Zo ook bij deze kit.
