Nieuw / new: Pieces of Poetry

Eigenlijk is het o, zo klassiek, deze collectie met ornamentjes krullen en wimpels. Tegelijkertijd blijf ik het geweldig vinden om oude kunsten te kunnen gebruiken. Maar wel op mijn eigen voorwaarden. Zo combineerde ik voor deze serie stukken uit gedichten van T.S. Elliot, Willam Blake en de eerste episode van Beowulf met een oud verhaaltje van mezelf. Ach, niet dat je er ook maar iets van kunt lezen, maar misschien is dat 'm juist: het gevoel dat er muziek, en dichtkunst in zit maakt dat ik me anders gedraag ten opzichte van wat ik aan het modelleren en creëren ben. Het is zoiets als het snufje nootmuskaat dat je over de bloemkool gooit. Maar dan anders. Natuurlijk.

(Eng.): Finally I can present you my newest collection. With pride. I love to make new things with old stuff like classical ornaments and all kinds of art. But on my own term, as always. For this collection I used parts of Beowulf (episode 1), William Blake and T.S. Elliot and combined it with parts of an old story I once wrote. It's not for reading and probably you cannot even see the difference (it's just pieces of text), but for me this makes A LOT of difference. It's just like the spices in a recipe: it's just a little different without that special seasoning.
