Deze keer eens een alleenstaand paper pack. Want dit soort achtergrondjes hebben vaak helemaal geen speciale elementjes nodig. Ze kunnen echt met van alles gecombineerd worden. Met deze 'overexposed backgrounds' maakt het zelfs niet uit of je zwartwit foto's, kleuren- of sepiafoto's gebruikt; het blijft leuk. Verkrijgbaar in mijn Studio @ ScrapbookGraphics.

Eigenlijk is het o, zo klassiek, deze collectie met ornamentjes krullen en wimpels. Tegelijkertijd blijf ik het geweldig vinden om oude kunsten te kunnen gebruiken. Maar wel op mijn eigen voorwaarden. Zo combineerde ik voor deze serie stukken uit gedichten van T.S. Elliot, Willam Blake en de eerste episode van Beowulf met een oud verhaaltje van mezelf. Ach, niet dat je er ook maar iets van kunt lezen, maar misschien is dat 'm juist: het gevoel dat er muziek, en dichtkunst in zit maakt dat ik me anders gedraag ten opzichte van wat ik aan het modelleren en creëren ben. Het is zoiets als het snufje nootmuskaat dat je over de bloemkool gooit. Maar dan anders. Natuurlijk.

Dan wilde ik nog even speciale aandacht voor het 'Pieces of Poetry' album: deze is tot stand gekomen/ontworpen door Ingeborg Katers (oftewel Ikscrap), CT lid en zelf ook designer. Ingeborg, ik vind het heel mooi geworden!
(Eng.): Finally I can present you my newest collection. With pride. I love to make new things with old stuff like classical ornaments and all kinds of art. But on my own term, as always. For this collection I used parts of Beowulf (episode 1), William Blake and T.S. Elliot and combined it with parts of an old story I once wrote. It's not for reading and probably you cannot even see the difference (it's just pieces of text), but for me this makes A LOT of difference. It's just like the spices in a recipe: it's just a little different without that special seasoning.

Goed, ik dacht dat ik niet zo'n echt quickpage & grunge typetje was, maar ik heb de smaak nu toch echt wel te pakken! Natuurlijk heerlijk te combineren met allerlei kleuriger dingetjes, maar ook heel mooi met zwartwit foto's. Of wat dacht je van Sepia? De Masks/maskers, tweede van boven, zijn speciaal geschikt voor Photoshop, maar eigenlijk heb ik geen idee of het in andere programma's ook werkt. Ik ga het uitzoeken. Waarschijnlijk is het wel te gebruiken, want de files hiervoor zijn gewoon png-files. Maar hoe....?

(Eng.): Okay, I thought I wasn't that much of a qp's and grungy style type, but this is really cool to design! Of course fun to combine with your colorful photo's and backgrounds, but also very nice to combine with black&white or sepia pics! The masks (secnd from top) I designed especially for Photoshop, but I really don't know whether it can only be used in PS or also in other programs... But all the files have a png-extension, so it maybe worth trying... Everything available tomorrow evening (Dutch time) at my Studio @ ScrapbookGraphics.

Vanaf morgen weer een nieuwe collectie in mijn Studio bij SBG. My Inner Circle heeft alles te maken met jezelf. Wat is jouw spirituele beleving? Hoe groot is jouw kring, jouw belevingswereld? Wat maakt jou essentieel JOU? Waar kies jij voor? Wat houdt jou in balance? Dit waren zo'n beetje de vragen die ik voelde en wilde omzetten in een nieuwe collectie. De papieren hebben absoluut mijn kleuren, staan heel dichtbij me. Zo staan rood en roze voor mij voor de zon, voor de warmte in mijn leven en is het bruin zeer nadrukkelijk, omdat ik me een aardemens voel. Toch zijn ook licht- en donkerblauw aanwezig. Lichtblauw voor lucht en de luchtigheid van waar ik graag mee bezig ben (tekenen, schrijven het maken van digitale scrapbook spulletjes) en donkerblauw staat voor mij voor water, een onmiskenbaar onderdeel van mijn leven en bovendien mijn lover's lievelingskleur en ook met hem voel ik me onlosmakelijk verbonden. Bij de elementen kit staan cirkels centraal. Ze stralen naar buiten, maar ook naar binnen, net als ieder mens. Hoever de stralen reiken, hoe klein of groot de cirkels zijn, dat blijft voor iedereen verschillend en zullen misschien zelfs per individu varieren, afhankelijk van stemmingen en dagen van het jaar.
Hoe dan ook, ik hoop, dat ik ook voor de minder spiritueel georienteerde mensen onder ons een leuke en bruikbare collectie heb gemaakt.
(Eng.): Tomorrow again a new collection in my Studio at SBG. My Inner Circle has everything to do with YOU. What's your spiritual experience? How big is your circle, the world as you experience it? What makes you explicite YOU? What are your choises? What keeps you in balance? Questions I asked myself while I was designing this new collection. The colors are reflections of my own personal circle. The red stands for warmth, the sun, the (dark) brown is for my feeling that I am a real EARTH person, the light blue is for my lightness of being, the sky and the laughs and the innocence of the things in my life like drawing, illustrating and writing, the dark blue stands for water. I really HAVE something with water, but it's also the favorite color of my partner that I feel so very bonded with. Circles are the main shapes in my element kit. They can be bigger or smaller, they can shine to from the middle or shine within.
Anyway, I hope that everyone enjoys this collection, I meant to make it also for people that don't feel as spiritual as I did while making it.
