Retro Veranda

Mijn nieuwe collectie bij SBG is uit! De naam Retro Veranda heb ik bedacht nadat ik alle 36 achtergrondjes aan elkaar had gemaakt als een gezellige gekleurde plaid. Zo eentje die ik over mijn knieën zou willen hebben terwijl ik zittend in mijn schommelstoel op mijn veranda (die ik helemaal niet heb) zou zitten. Het retro zit 'm in de motieven en motiefjes die mij sterk doen denken aan wat ik zelf op stoffen (kleding en interieur) zag toen ik kind was (zeventiger jaren).
Voor het eerst heb ik in deze collectie ook een 'value pack' opgenomen. Hierin zitten niet alleen alle 36 papers en de quilt/patchwork achtergrond, maar ook alle elementen (met quickpages) en een uitgebreid alfabet in zwart/wit met beige randjes. Het alfabet heeft raster motieven die doen denken aan kranten- en tijdschriftenfoto's.

I thought of the name of this new collection while making a 37th background out of the 36 others that are in the 4 different paper packs of this Retro Veranda kit. I wanted to make a quilted plaid background, and when I saw it I immediately thought about a plaid like I would put on my lap sitting in a rocking-chair on my veranda (if I had one, LOL) 'Retro' are the seventies patterns that I used. These patterns and motifs are like I saw them when i was a kid on clothes as well as in interiors.
For the first time I added a value pack with not only all 37 backgrounds, but also an elements pack and a very extended alphabet kit.

Ik ben al tijden bezig met zoveel tegelijk. Nu lijkt eindelijk de tijd gekomen om het allemaal eens lekker af te maken. Eindelijk weer eens een paar lekker ouderwetse Eye Love You producten. Deze zie je vanaf morgen, 14 juli in Studio Berna. Houd 'm in de gaten!

Framed!

Ik heb me weer eens lekker ouderwets kunnen uitleven. Wat is het toch heerlijk om designer te zijn. Alleen gun ik me nauwelijks tijd voor vakantie, maar ja, ik ben ook al heel wat weggeweest dit jaar. Affijn, nieuwe kit. Met gebruikmaking van veel KitschGardenUnlimited producten en een aantal andere zaken, heb ik deze vier frames met nieuwe achtergronden (12x12") gemaakt. Deze hele zomer zal ik van alles op mijn blog of in de shop zetten dat wel HEEL erg aantrekkelijk is. Vandaag begin ik met deze freebie. Ik hoop dat jullie 'm leuk vinden. Ik, die eigenlijk vrijwel nooit een template gebruik, vond het eigenlijk toch wel heel geinig om eens op deze manier wat layouts in elkaar te knutselen. Ik ga het toch zeker wat vaker doen, want het zijn best handige dingetjes. Vooral als je snel veel moet maken.
